Performance Evaluation of Power Transfer Roadways


In partnership with INDOT, Purdue University constructed two small-scale power transfer pavement sections at the Accelerated Pavement Testing (APT) facility in Spring 2021 to assess construction procedures and analyze the pavement’s mechanical and thermal behavior. This presentation delves into the performance of both sections up to date, deepening the understanding into their performance mechanics, ahead of construction for the upcoming 1/4th mile DWPT road pilot project on US-231 (West Lafayette, IN) during Spring 2024.
