Infrastructure and Pavement: Moving Electric Powered Transportation to the Next Level

John Haddock, Purdue University and Marv Halling, Utah State University

Electric vehicle (EV) technologies represent promising developments in the effort to reduce dependence on fossil fuels and the accompanying pollution from the transportation sector. For future dynamic applications, many of the challenges involve concrete or asphalt pavement structure. Dr. Marv Halling (Professor of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Utah State University) and Dr. John Haddock (Professor of Civil Engineering at Purdue University) discussed pavement considerations related to dynamic wireless power transfer and the possible avenues to address these challenges.
