Design and Control of DC Microgrids
Steve Pekarek, Purdue University
This presentation focused on a 750 V, 150 kW, zonal DC microgrid testbed developed at Purdue that enables research in both component and system-level design and control. An overview of the testbed was presented including its use in model validation, fault mitigation, and system stability analysis. A focus was then placed on the results of recent research on the modeling and control of common-mode current in power electronic systems. The use of the testbed in validating the proposed models was highlighted.
