Abstract:

The mission of Utah Women in Trades is to increase the number of women seeking and obtaining opportunities in non-traditional building and construction trades by supporting education through apprenticeship programs, outreach and retention programs, mentoring new tradeswomen, celebrating success and providing encouragement and hope for future generations. Groves introduced ASPIRE, its mission, its strengthening focus on workforce development in the trades, and the collaborative opportunities taking shape between ASPIRE and various local unions.
