Biography
Dr. Fawson is a professor in the Department of Economics and Finance at Utah State University. Over the course of his career, Dr. Fawson has served as an Academic Department Head, Senior Associate Dean in the Huntsman School of Business and in university administration as Director of International Programs and Vice Provost for Academic and International Affairs. Dr. Fawson’s research interests span a variety of public policy domains that include natural resource management, environmental economics, economic development, finance and international trade, health care and public education. In addition, Dr. Fawson maintains an active commitment to teaching and student mentoring. Service in the community includes being a member of the Logan City Power Board, a member of the Cache Valley Bank board of directors and a member of the Medical School Admissions Board for the University of Utah Medical School.
