Emma Mecham

Biography

Dr. Emma Mecham is a professional practice assistant professor at Utah State University's Emma Eccles Jones College of Education and Human Services in the School of Teacher Education and Leadership. Dr. Mecham holds a doctoral degree in education, culture, and society from the University of Utah. Her research explores how teachers learn, how policy and practice impact equity in schools and communities, and place-based education. Dr. Mecham finds particular joy in working with pre-service teachers as they develop an understanding of the relationship between societies, cultures, and educational policy and practice. She is passionate about working toward environmental equity and sustainability.
